Each tile is made to order, crafted especially for you, and ready to ship within 3–5 business days after your purchase.
As each piece is hand-finished, slight variations in color and design may occur. We strive to produce and ship all of our products in a carbon-neutral way.

- Our tiles are primarily designed for decorative purposes. However, as they are water-resistant and handle humid environments well, many customers successfully use the tiles in their bathroom or on shower walls.
- Our tiles can also be used in the kitchen: they work great as a backsplash behind a stove. The ceramic itself is heat-resistant, though it's good to be mindful that prolonged exposure to very high heat or direct sunlight could potentially cause the image to fade over time.
- We don't recommend using them on floors as they would wear off too quickly from foot traffic.
- Keep in mind when installing: since the tiles aren't fully scratch-resistant, use unsanded grout or silicone grout to avoid scratching the surface during installation. We recommend consulting a local hardware store or tile professional for the best adhesives and grouts for your specific application.
- For cleaning, just use a soft, damp cloth with mild soap or a standard non-abrasive household cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive pads as these could damage the surface.
We produce every tile to order in 3–5 working days. All orders are sent with tracked shipping. You will receive a tracking link by email to follow your order upon shipment.
Returns are accepted within 30 days of receiving your order.
If your tile arrives damaged or something’s missing, send us a quick photo and we’ll send a replacement ASAP.

Our tiles are made to order. Production takes approximately 3–5 working days. Once ready, delivery takes an additional:
- 1–2 working days for orders within the Netherlands, Germany, and the UK.
- 4-6 working days for other EU countries.
- 3-5 weeks for orders outside the EU.
We will keep you updated on the status of your order throughout the entire process and will provide you with a tracking link via email when your order ships.
Please note: once your order has been handed over to the carrier, shipping times are outside our control. All delivery times provided are estimates and may vary due to factors such as carrier delays, strikes, or peak periods.

For our regular tiles: is your order not as expected? We're sorry to hear that. If you'd like to return your tile(s), please send us an email to info@thedutchtileproject.com. Please include the following information:
- Order number
- Reason for return
- Pictures of the tile(s) and packaging in current condition
Shipping costs for returns are customer's responsibility.
Please note: we do not accept returns of personalised (Delftify) tiles, due to their personalised nature.
Our tiles are made of ceramic and are water-resistant, making them perfect for kitchens and bathrooms. If you’d like to use them outdoors, avoid direct sunlight, as it may affect the coating and colours.
Our tiles are fragile, so we pack them securely with bubble wrap. If a tile arrives broken, we’ll send you a new one free of charge.
